My works are based on the theme of light during the night. Under the sunlight, the urban landscapes are filled with a vast amount of information due to the daily activities of human beings. On the other hand, the light we see at night is artificial. For example, the light leaking from the windows of houses and the lights of buildings make up the nightscape, and we feel the presence of human beings on the other side of the light. However, light itself has no meaning or information. It is as if it represents people who have been liberated from their daily activities.

My works depict scenes from my personal life. Through my daily life, the viewer is asked to imagine each scene based on his or her memory. Familiar everyday scenes come to life as new landscapes. I would like to continue painting in order to liberate the everyday from meaning and information, and to reexamine the everyday that exists as a matter of course.
